Definitions and Interpretation The Client: The recipient of the service and name listed on the booking form. The Agency: Something Blue Hair and Makeup The Artist: The freelance makeup artist or hairstylist working under Something Blue Hair and Makeup The Agreement: The contract that exists between the client and the agency for the agreed fee. The fee: The amount payable by the client to the agency for the services by the agency. The event: Relates in principle to the date whereby the event or wedding takes place. The party: Additional members of the bridal party.
The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid the 25% booking deposit to the agency. This amount shall be deducted from the final invoice.
Arranging a trial does not reserve the agency’s services for the event.
Events from April – September are subject to a three person minimum booking.
Payments can be made in cash or BACS, cheques will not be accepted.
An invoice for the trial shall be sent out prior, this shall need to be paid in full before the trial date.
The 25% booking deposit is non refundable.
The final payment is to be paid in full by the client 3 months prior to the event. Failure to make payment within the stated time will result in the event being released.
Bookings made less than 2 months prior to the event will be required to pay 100% of the fee.
The client shall inform the agency of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The agency cannot be held liable for any losses that are incurred due to the client’s failure to inform them of any know condition.
The agency reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behavior.
The client at any point in writing can cancel the event.
Cancellations made 1 month (30days) prior to the event shall not be refunded.
Cancellations made before 1 month (30 days) to the event, a refund shall be given minus the 25% booking deposit.
The agency will be under no obligation to refund any money paid until cancellation, however the client will not be liable for any further payments.
The client may cancel a trial at any point, however those cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged for the trial amount.
Cancellations by the agency due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering the agency’s performance of their obligations where no other suitable alternative can be given a full refund will be given to the client. No further compensation will be offered.
If the booking is directly affected by circumstance beyond the control of the agency where possible the agency will endeavor to rectify such situations, however no compensation will be offered on the agency’s part. It is strongly advised you take out wedding insurance to cover you against these situations.
The client agrees that the agency may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the agency’s website and social media pages.
Travel costs will be calculated at 45 pence per mile between the artist’s location to the required venue of the event.
The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the artist as agreed at the time of the booking, this is to include should it be required congestion charging and parking charges.
Where an artist is taking public transport in London a day travel card will be charged.
Accommodation shall be charged where applicable. If Artists are required to start before 7:00am and are unable to reach the location due to travel restrictions accommodation shall need to arranged and supplied by the client.
For those weddings requiring an Hair or Makeup Assistant an additional £75 + travel shall be charged for the assistant.
* Eyelashes are complimentary during the trial but then charge at £5 pp on the wedding day.
* Extensions – Hair Extension and Extension work is priced following the trial.
In the event the client is unhappy with the performance of an artist and requires another trial, 50% of the second trial cost shall be covered with another artist. Only one additional trial shall be compensated at 50%.
