Definitions and Interpretation.
The Client: The recipient of the service and name listed on the booking form.
The Company: Something Blue Hair and Makeup also known as SBHM.
The Artist: The freelance makeup artist or hairstylist working under Something Blue Hair and Makeup/SBHM
The Agreement: The contract that exists between the client and the agency for the agreed fee.
The Fee: The amount payable by the client to the agency for the services by the agency.
The Event: Relates in principle to the date whereby the event or wedding takes place.
The Party: Additional members of the bridal party.
The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid the booking retainer to the company. This amount shall be deducted from the final invoice.
Arranging a trial does not reserve the company’s services for the event.
Events from April – September are subject to a three person minimum booking.
Destination events are subject to a minimum booking of £800.
Wedding day events with Natasha are subject to a minimum booking of £450, excluding the trial.
Payments can be made by BACS, or via our online invoicing system. Cheques will not be accepted.
We accept all major cards.
Card payments can be made at the trial appointments.
An invoice for the trial shall be sent out prior, this shall need to be paid in full before the trial date.
The 25% booking retainer is non refundable.
The final payment is to be paid in full by the client 1 month prior to the event. Failure to make payment within the stated time will result in the event being released.
Bookings made less than 1 month prior to the event will be required to pay 100% of the fee.
The client shall inform the company of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The company cannot be held liable for any losses that are incurred due to the client’s failure to inform them of any know condition.
The company reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members the party for, but not limited too, abusive and threatening behaviour.
The client at any point in writing can cancel the event.
Cancellations made 1 month (30days) prior to the event shall not be refunded.
Cancellations made before 1 month (30 days) to the event, a refund shall be given minus the 25% booking retainer.
The company will be under no obligation to refund any money paid until cancellation, however the client will not be liable for any further payments.
The client may cancel a trial at any point, however those cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged for the trial amount.
Cancellations by the company due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering the company’s performance of their obligations where no other suitable alternative can be given a full refund will be given to the client. No further compensation will be offered.
If the booking is directly affected by circumstance beyond the control of the company where possible the company will endeavour to rectify such situations, however no compensation will be offered on the company’s part. It is strongly advised you take out wedding insurance to cover you against these situations.
The client agrees that the company may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the company’s website and social media pages.
Travel costs will be calculated at 50 pence per mile between the artist’s location to the required venue of the event.
The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the artist as agreed at the time of the booking, this is to include should it be required congestion charging and parking charges.
Where an artist is taking public transport in London a day travel card will be charged.
The client will cover any public transport fees, including train fares and taxi fares.
Travel costs will be calculated at 45 pence per mile between the artist’s location to the required venue of the event.
Natasha’s travel will be calculated from her home in Shropshire, SY5 7JD.
Accommodation shall be charged where applicable. If Artists are required to leave their home premises before 6:30am accommodation shall need to arranged and supplied by the client. This will be discusses prior to the event.
Where two artists require accommodation, a twin room is sufficient.
Maximum time allocation for trials: the maximum time that the Artist can spend on any one trial is 2.5 hours for a makeup or hair booking or 3.5 hours for a makeup and hair booking. Any additional time required for trial sessions will have to be booked as a repeat trial.
Trials with Natasha are held at Sunnydale, Dorrington, SY5 7JD. Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays. Between the hours of 10:00 and 2:45pm.
Trial locations with Sky Blue or Crystal Blue artists shall be arranged by the artist at a location and time convenient for them, within their business working hours.
Trials are not held on weekends.
In the instance of a bride only booking, a minimum booking fee will apply.
The minimum booking amount for a wedding day with Natasha is £450.
For Sky Blue and Crystal Blue artists booking a bride only, £50 for Hair and Makeup services supplement fee will be charged to the client.
For Sky Blue and Crystal Blue artists booking a bride only, £70 for Hair or Makeup only supplement fee will be charged to the client.
For those events requiring a Hair and/or Makeup Assistant an additional £85 plus assistants travel shall be charged.
Extensions – Hair Extension and Extension work is priced following the trial.
Hair extension hire is charged at £100.
Hair extensions are loaned out with the agreement that they will be returned in a reusable good condition.
Upon return of the hair extensions £50 is refunded to the customer. Provided these are in a good condition.
Individual false eyelashes are included in the cost of the service for the bridal party. Where they are not required no reduction of cost shall be given.
Eyelashes shall not be included for large events. Party members will be required to provide their own eyelashes.
Luxury false eyelashes are available at a charge.
Where another trial is required, these will be charge at the same price as the first trial.
For bookings outside of the mainland UK, accommodation expenses will be charged.
The client may organise accommodation for the artist in a clean and comfortable hotel, where outside the mainland UK.
For bookings outside of the mainland UK, trains, flights or boat expenses will be charged. Including any check in baggage costs.
The client will be charged for parking fees at airports or public transport to get to the airport.
For flights earlier that 07:00 accommodation close to the airport may be needed. The client will be charged the cost of hotel for the night prior to departure.
Where artists are unable to travel the same day as the event, after the event had occurred. The client will be charged additional accommodation costs for that nights stay.
The client will be responsible for organising travel for the artist in the country outside of the mainland UK.
Additional accommodation expenses at the destination of the Event may also be incurred however all accommodation expenses will be discussed and agreed with the Client during the booking process.
£50 will be charged for subsistence per Artist for every 24 hours spent away from home for a booking.
The Company will always endeavour to find the most cost-effective option.
A minimum booking amount of £800 will apply to destination weddings.
A travel day fee of £100 will apply on both outbound and inbound travel days.

We are currently only allowing the client and no additional attendees at a Trial.
Where the clients would like to have an additional attendee to Trials or Lessons. Please inform the company first to ensure we can accommodate this.
Where an artist is required to start before 08:00 breakfast, tea and coffee shall need to be provided.
Water shall be required throughout the service.
If a client or any member of the bridal party who will be present either at trial or on the morning of the wedding has recently travelled to any of the affected areas (as outlined on the Gov.uk website) affected by the Coronavirus, or they’ve come into contact with anybody who has, they should let Something Blue Hair and Makeup know immediately.
On arrival at the wedding venue, if it is apparent that anybody has an infectious disease which we have not been notified about, we reserve the right to cancel the whole appointment without penalty to ourselves to avoid the serious risk of cross-infection.

The company will aim to transfer the booking over to the clients new wedding date. It is strongly advised that the client communicates their proposed new date with the company before booking to ensure that the company had availability.
Bookings changed to a different year will be charged at the prices of the year the wedding date is taking place.
Prices for products and services are subject to change without notice.
The Company reserves the right to modify or discontinue a service (or any part or content thereof) at any time without notice.
Once the booking has been confirmed, booked services and numbers may not be reduced.
Booking services may be increased where possible. This will need to be agreed with the artist prior to the event.
The business working hours are Monday to Friday (excluding Tuesdays) 09:00 – 15:00.
Communication via Email is the best form of contact.
Contacting the artist via WhatsApp messages will only be used in an emergency.
WhatsApp messages outside of the business working hours will not be responded too.
