Hard for me to compile a comprehensive list here
because each day that goes by often adds something
to it, but as a guide the vast majority of work
incorporates some or all of the skills below. If
what your looking for is not listed ring me. At
worst I will say no. As a small business that relies
heavily on personal referrals I am careful never
to take on work that I am not 100% confident in!

Skimming
This
section does not really need much of an explanation
other than it if often part of a project that gets
avoided but does make all the difference to the
finished result and often only, say in relation
to a kitchen can sometimes only add £100 to
the total. Get rid of those nasty walls and dodge
ceilings!
Full
House Renovations
Regardless
of your budget you might be surprised what we can
achieve with an empty house in a short time. When
the property is empty it is not unusual for the
team to work long shifts and 7 days a week to get
the job done on budget and on time. Just call! Part
P electric's and Corgi registrations not a problem.
Full structural surveys, technical drawings and
Milton keynes building control liaisons not a problem.
Essentially all you need to do is say what you want,
how you want it and keep writing the cheques, or

Painting
and decorating
Goes
without saying? However to be reassured we only
I / we only use the best of materials and paint
which always makes that big difference from most
DIY. Steve's Handyman Services has a number of trade
accounts at relevant shops such as Johnstone's and
Brewers Milton keynes to ensure I am usually able
to supply superior quality trade alternatives to
off the shelf B&Q type ranges for and equal
or lower price. By the time you add up your expense
in buying paint, brushes, rollers, tray's, sand
paper, cleaners etc often you could have saved yourself
a weekend and got us in for little extra. You might
be surprised what high standards we could achieve
in a short time....
Carpentry
Never
undertaking work I am not 100% confident in, I will
not try and make out I can offer master craftsman
style carpentry, but the more simple things such
as skirting boards, boarding out lofts, fitting
kitchen worktops and hanging doors and often more
a case of having the right tools and practice. Unlike
many capable DIY enthusiasts, it more likely that
days rather than years pass by between us taking
on projects like this...so clean sharp chisels and
saw's are at the ready!
Landscaping
/ Patio's / Repair & Maintenance
Steve's
Handyman Service's doesn't stop when you walk out
of the door. From a routine garden tidy to a complete
landscaping project are no problem (well except
for the weather usually) For larger projects I bring
in more hands, all experienced and very hard workers.
Give me a call, there is always something suitable
for even the smallest budgets.
Plumbing
All
aspects of plumbing are covered, but those aspects
that require Corgi certification I normally pass
on to a number of excellent engineers that I have
worked with for many years and I would be happy
to endorse.
Kitchen
Fitters Milton Keynes
Give
us a call about your Kitchen straight away! I will
always suggest you get a number of quotes, but I
usually beat them all! I have very good relations
with kitchen supplier like Howdens Joinery
and Magnet trade in Milton Keynes
and can often supply excellent plans and kitchens
at lower prices than you can get them off the shelf
of B&Q at. And unlike other suppliers this means
you also save ££££ in labour
in flat pack construction as due to my accounts
and relations most of the kitchen carcasses come
factory constructed! Don't make any
big decisions before you call me. A good kitchen
for a typical MK based house could be supplied and
fitted for around £3k! (tiling included!)
Bathrooms
Again
trade discounts at most major Milton Keynes plumbers
and tile merchants mean I can supply and fit bathrooms
at extremely affordable prices, suitable for most
budgets. Fitting of standard B&Q type suites
also no problem but I will be wanting the details
of the order before I quote for labour. Speak to
me first if possible as you might be surprised what
deals can be done!
Brickwork
/ RePointing
Boring..but
usually essential maintenance on older properties.
Also not the cheapest of jobs as it is very labour
intensive... however a good job is always done and
at a fair price.
Be
careful when you get quotes.. Make sure the contractor
specifies what mortar mix he will be using! If it
is not a match for the original it WILL end in severe
brick damage as can be seen in so many Edwardian
and Victorian walls.
I
also have good contacts for scaffolding where necessary
saving £££'s for you.
Tanking
/ damproofing
This
can often be quite an involved and often highly
individual project so I will just say here - "no
problem" just speak to me, give me a call and
I will come over and take a look. Discounts offered
for tea.
